Eureka: Advance Review - The Ex-Files
Posted 8/27/2010 2:37:00 PM
The past season on Eureka, we've learned that there is a new interpretation to the phrase, "Everything changes." When the core cast of characters; Carter, Jo, Alison, Fargo, Jo, and Henry - all go into the past they return to the present not only with one extra person, but with a new set of situations to deal with.
Among the changes that they've experienced, the one thing that has happened is they've all been forced to reconnect to the existing world without letting on that they're not exactly used to the way things are running. It's been an eye-opening season so far, with amazing character development, exciting experiments, and some really amazing dialog being written.
The writing team at Eureka has also begun to reach out to the fans in more accessible ways. With Co-Executive Producer Amy Berg already familiar with Twitter from her days as a writer on Leverage, ...
Covert Affairs: Advance Review - Communication Breakdown
Posted 8/23/2010 4:24:00 PM
This week's Covert Affairs episode has been getting a lot of press, even months before the episode was going to air. Ever since Chris Gorham gave us the amazing character as Auggie, we've all wanted to see more of him. We wanted to see him take some action in the field... or in the bedroom.
Chris Gorham teased many loyal fans in regards to the fight scene early on in the show's publicity. It was always a matter of the fact that Auggie, as a character, is blind and how does that relate to his advantages or disadvantages in the fight itself. Doug Liman stated in a conference call earlier, "This moment is actually more fun than anything we did in Bourne. He’s a blind guy in the middle of a scrappy fight. So what does he think to do, and he’s got to think of it in a split ...
Leverage - The Boost Job
Posted 8/2/2010 6:03:00 PM
This past Sunday the Leverage team took on the world of stolen cars, chop shops and EMP guns - with a toss-in mention of Shark Week. There were heartfelt moments, high-octane races, deep water diving and much more - all wrapped up in an hour. Honestly, if you're not watching Leverage you can see what you're missing each week.
Bill Engvall portrayed, wonderfully I might add, a race car driver that took his little bit of fame and turned it into a car selling business. Of course, he makes amazing deals because all of his cars aren't exactly... Legally purchased. What better way to get into the action than to open your very own Car Dealership and undercut the competition. Toss in Sophie using some rather suggestive gestures and associations - and you've got a winning business model. You also have the competition upset, that they're not making the money ...
Leverage - Advance Review: The Boost Job
Posted 7/30/2010 2:34:00 PM
Leverage this Sunday boasts High-Octane thrills as Nate and the Leverage team enter the world of car theft and chop-shops. Uncovering the shady dealings and tactics of the "Big Bad" of the week, played by none-other than Bill Engvall, the team have to show their skills and find out a way to beat a guy that's not afraid of dishing out some low-blows.
One thing this season has been excelling in is unfolding the backgrounds of the characters we've grown very attached to. Small little pieces of their history have been slipped into the story. Whether they're just odd comments or flashback sequences, as the teams learn more about each other and learn to trust each other more - we, the audience, get to learn those things as well.
This Sunday's episode lets you in on a little bit more of the life Parker led. Out of all of the ...
