Face to Face

I have an addiction and thy name is Facebook I joined about a year ago after nagging from some friends that I just HAD to. So, after finally caving into peer pressure I reluctantly signed up.
It's almost scary the speed at which old acquaintances, exes and people who never spoke to you in high school start friend requesting. ("You haven't changed!" Really? I thought my dork factor had depleated since we graduated.) I was in danger of my computer crashing from too much activity. My ego might have grown that day from the popularity head spinning that was going on.
After getting the basics, my first post was made. Positive comment and like button presses soon followed. You like me! You really really like me!
People wanted me to join their mafia, help slay vampires, become their Farmville neighbor. That's when you get sucked into the abyss. Pretty ...

My garage door opener has failed. The door started to go up, but then decided to play a cruel trick on me and stop about a foot into the process. Of course I immediately started pressing the button over and over because I was sure THAT would fix it.
When that didn't work, I got the bright idea that I was going to fix it. Sure, I've never looked at the workings of a garage door opener before, but hey I'm Gail Lewis! So I decided to crawl on top of my car to look at it, that was my second bright idea.

Christmas Classics

On this date in 1843 A Christmas Carol was first published.
What's your favorite holiday classic? Every year I try to catch the dance scene in Charlie Brown Christmas . It always makes me smile. If the movie Holiday Inn is on, I must stop whatever I'm doing and watch it. It's fun, has great music and dancing and of course you can't go wrong with Fred Astaire.
When I was a kid, I looked forward to the shorts of Hardrock, Coco and Joe, Suzy Snowflake and Frosty the Snowman that would be shown every year on the Ray Raynor and Bozo shows. Seeing those reminded me that it wouldn't be long until Santa came to visit. I now have copies of those on my Ipod and can enjoy them all year long.
Is there a holiday special that you must watch every year?
