WINTER STORM PARKING RULES
City of Rockford
When a snow emergency is issued, people are required to park on the even side of the street on even-numbered days - and on the odd side of the street on odd-numbered days. Side of street change takes place at 8:00 a.m.
If possible, the city asks that you don't park on the streets at all if you don't have to.
Anyone who violates the parking rules can get a $50.00 ticket.
Snow emergencies can be declared once the city gets 2 or more inches of snow.
Cherry Valley residents are required to move vehicles off residential streets to make way for snowplows whenever the National Weather Service issues a Winter Storm Warning.
Violators can be ticketed $25 to $75 for breaking village winter parking regulations.
When 2 or more inches of snow falls in the Village of Machesney Park, there is No Parking allowed on residential streets until snow removal is complete.
Village of Winnebago
After snow has fallen to a depth of 2 inches or more, there is no parking on any street in the Village of Winnebago until such time as the snow has been plowed (as per Village ordinance 04-21). Any vehicle parked on the street will be ticketed $25.00 - $50.00 per day and may be towed.
